Here’s our handy guide to Lymm to help you plan your visit!

Getting Here

Lymm no longer has any rail links – but we are easy to get to by bus from Warrington or Altrincham (Warrington’s Own Buses CAT 5).  Lymm is easily accessed from the M56 (Junction 9) or M6 (Junction 20) at Moto Lymm Services.

Lymm Services has a McDonald’s, Gregg’s, Costa Coffee and cafeteria.  There’s also a WH Smith store, a radio (CB Shack) and motoring shop plus a Motel.

Parking

Lymm has three car parks.  Pepper Street, Henry Street and Davies Way.

Charges apply at all car parks until 10pm – except on Sunday’s and bank holidays.

Lymm Heritage Centre

A wonderful exhibition space housing the Lymm archives, permanent displays and pop-up exhibitions.  Entry is free (donations welcome).  The centre is located on Leigh Street, just next to the Saddlers Arms Pub on Bridgewater Street.

Open Thursday to Sunday from 10am until 4pm.

Coffee Shops

There’s a number of coffee shops including Cupello’s, The Coffee House and Sextons Bakery.  All are open 7 days a week.

Bars and Restaurants

Lymm has some lovely bars and restaurants including The Terrace Cafe (open until late afternoon, closed on Sunday’s), Elmas Restaurant and Chia Tapas & Bar.

Pubs

Lymm has a thriving pub scene and there’s no shortage of places to go in the village centre.  There’s also pubs outside the village in Oughtrington, Heatley and Statham.

Places to Stay

The nearest hotel is Statham Lodge (Statham), just over a mile out of the village.  Within the village, Lymm Boutique Rooms offers 2 rooms although they are often booked up.

Shopping

Lymm has a wonderful array of gift shops and boutiques.  For unique gift ideas try Bird & Bay, Ruby & Harry and Laurel House Interiors.

There’s also a butcher’s shop, bakery with deli and a Sainsbury’s Local in the village centre.

There’s a ladies boutique in the village (Bee Chic) and Tallulah Belle Boutique in Statham.

Take Aways

Lymm has a Chinese take-away, a fish and chip shop and burger/pizza shop.  There’s also a new bubble tea shop open until 8pm daily.

Services

There’s also a fair few hairdressers and beauty salons.  There’s also a number of estate agencies within the village centre.

Lymm Library & Business Centre is just on Davies Way car park.

Toilets

There isn’t a public toilet in the village centre, although plenty of bars and restaurants open during the day.

The only public toilet is on Church Lane (Lymm Dam).  Open from 8am until 6pm daily.

Defibrillators

There’s a 24 hour accessible unit outside Elmas Restaurant by Lymm Cross.  This was paid for by MIX 56 listeners and is now maintained by Lymm Parish Council.

There’s also a unit at the Spread Eagle and at Lymm Library (both accessible during opening hours only).
